Two loves inside his heart, Cuisine and Music, and the realization of both dreams

The decision

In 1996 Igor left Russia to study Sacred Music in Rome. After obtaining the Magisterium, the Diocese of Verona proposed to him to play the role of cantor-psalmist in the Cathedral of the city and he decided to attend both the faculty of Lyric Singing at the Conservatory and the faculty of Literature and Philosophy at the University.

Almost parallel to the study of the musical art, the passion for the culinary world started to become important, maybe thanks to his grandmother, professional cook.

He found our Professional Cooking Course on Internet and he immediately signed up. The subjects, the lessons, the internship were exactly what he was looking for.

The experience of the Internship

The stage at the trattoria “Tre Marchetti” was memorable. The Chef was expert in traditional Venetian dishes and has guided him from the beginning to the end. He sometimes has sung also with the owner of the trattoria because both had studied at the Academy for Opera Singers.

Life after the Course

His project “Ruslan” (name of a knight of the ancient Russian fairy tales) is a gastronomic mediation blog where you can find Italian and Russian dishes.
In addition to the recipes, there are the history of the dishes, the raw materials, the companies that produce the ingridient and the territory. As for Italian dishes his focus is on dishes from Verona.
